Shaping the Change from Fossile to Renewable Carbon Sources (Bioball)
In the context of the Paris Agreement on Climate Change the raw material change from fossil to renewable carbon sources in the chemical industry becomes more urgent and is on the way to turn into a competitive factor. This is not only a topic for individual companies. It is a challenge as well for industrial sites in adapting the infrastructure for new supply chains. Because the circular economy is part of the change in raw materials, the focus is also shifting to municipal waste from cities that was not previously used as feedstock. This panel will discuss the change in raw materials and the circular economy from the perspective of companies, industrial sites, public administration and will also address the training of future personnel.
